Anne-Marie McDermott is a passionate educator and regularly participates in master classes and community outreach activities while on tour.

Her arts advocacy and education legacy extends to the next generation of concert pianists. Anne-Marie created a Piano Fellows program at Bravo! Vail. She selects two young pianists each year to spend an immersive two weeks in Vail, Colorado, performing in varied programs for diverse audiences with the esteemed musicians of the Festival. Many industry leaders consider her selections to be tastemaker choices, and the participating pianists often go on to robust performing careers.

Anne-Marie is also in-demand as a performance competition juror. She has served on internationally renowned juries for leading piano competitions including the Cliburn Competition in Fort Worth, Texas, the Honens Competition in Calgary, Ontario, and the Dublin Competition in Dublin, Ireland.
